I Am Definitely a Snacker!
I’ve never really been a three-meals-a-day girl.
Unless I’m eating some pretty hearty meals, I almost always find myself wanting a snack around 10 AM or 2 PM.
And then there are those nights when you’ve finally sat down after a long day, you’re watching your favorite show, and suddenly…
BAM.
Snack attack!
One of the things I’ve learned over the years following Weight Watchers is that having low-Point snacks available can make staying on track so much easier.
When I first started, I could easily use 10 or 12 Points on snacks throughout the day without really thinking about it.
A few crackers here.
A little something sweet there.
Maybe a handful of something salty.
And suddenly I’m looking at my tracker wondering where all of my Points went!
The good news is that we don’t have to give up snacking.
That’s one of the things I love about the WW program. There are so many Zero Point foods that can become the foundation for easy, filling snacks.
WW’s current Core Program includes foods such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, lean chicken and turkey, beans and lentils, plain nonfat Greek yogurt, nonfat cottage cheese, oats, potatoes, and air-popped popcorn.
That gives us a lot to work with!
What Exactly Are Zero Point Foods?
Zero Point foods are foods that have a value of zero Points on the WW program.
They are foods WW has selected because they provide important nutrients and can serve as the foundation for meals and snacks.
And here’s something important to remember:
Zero Point doesn’t mean you have to eat these foods all day long.
It simply gives you more flexibility.
You can have a piece of fruit, some vegetables, eggs, chicken, or another Zero Point food without having to use Points from your Budget.
Of course, once you start adding ingredients that have Points, the finished snack may no longer be Zero Point. WW specifically notes that things such as oil, butter, dressings, and sauces can add Points.
That’s why I love using Zero Point foods as a starting point.
Start with something from your Zero Point list and get creative!
My Favorite Zero Point Weight Watchers Snacks
Before we get to all of the recipes, here are some of the easy snacks I’ve personally loved over the years.
1. Crispy Hash Brown Potatoes
One of my favorite tricks was taking a small potato, shredding it with a grater, and cooking it in a skillet with nonstick cooking spray until golden brown.
When I was craving French fries or tater tots, this really hit the spot.
Potatoes are included on the current WW Core Zero Point list, including plain shredded hash brown-style potatoes and plain roasted potatoes.
2. Seasoned Chicken
Chicken is another great snack foundation.
I like to season chicken tenders and bake a batch on Sunday so I have them ready throughout the week.
When I’m hungry between meals, I can grab some chicken and pair it with crunchy vegetables or throw it over a small salad.
It’s simple, filling, and packed with protein.
3. Chicken Roll-Ups
Take a slice of roasted chicken or turkey breast and add some crunchy vegetables.
I like shredded carrots and a little purple onion.
Roll everything together and you’ve got an easy little snack that takes almost no time to prepare.
4. Hard-Boiled Eggs
Eggs are another great snack option.
I like mine with salt and pepper, a little hot sauce, and sometimes a pickled jalapeño for an extra kick.
Make a batch ahead of time and you’ll have an easy grab-and-go snack all week.
5. Pickle Wraps
These are one of my favorites!
Take a slice of turkey or chicken breast, spread it with a little light or fat-free cream cheese if it fits your Points Budget, and wrap it around a pickle.
Salty, creamy, crunchy, and tangy!
What’s not to love?
6. Zero Point Soup
I know soup isn’t necessarily the first thing you think of when someone says “snack,” but hear me out.
If you’re starving in the middle of the afternoon and dinner is still a couple of hours away, a warm bowl of vegetable soup can be incredibly satisfying.
I love keeping soup in the refrigerator so I have something ready when hunger strikes.
7. Fruit
Fruit is probably one of the easiest Zero Point snacks.
Make a fruit salad with strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, grapes, pineapple, or whatever you have on hand.
Add a big squeeze of lime juice for extra flavor.
Watermelon with lime is one of my favorites!

8. Air-Popped Popcorn
POPCORN!
I swear popcorn has played a huge role in my weight-loss journey.
I always keep popcorn kernels in my pantry and love making them in my air popper.
The current WW Core list includes air-popped popcorn without oil, butter, or sugar.
If you add butter, oil, or another topping, remember to account for those ingredients.
9. Sugar-Free Jell-O
When I want something sweet, sugar-free gelatin can be an easy option.
You can buy the prepared cups or make your own.
It’s especially nice when you want something sweet without making an entire dessert.
10. Frozen Grapes
Frozen grapes are one of my favorite summertime Zero Point Weight Watchers Snacks.
Wash your grapes, remove the stems, and put them in the freezer for a few hours.
They’re cold, sweet, and surprisingly satisfying!

Don’t Forget to Get Creative With Your Zero Point Foods!
One of the things I love about Weight Watchers is that Zero Point foods give us so many options.
You don’t have to eat the same boring snack every day.
Have chicken ready in the refrigerator?
Make chicken roll-ups.
Have fruit?
Freeze it.
Have Greek yogurt?
Turn it into a sweet treat.
Have vegetables?
Make a dip.
Have eggs?
Make deviled eggs or egg muffins.
Have popcorn kernels?
Air-pop some popcorn!
There are so many possibilities.
And remember, Zero Point foods aren’t the only foods you can eat on WW. That’s one of the things I love about the program. You can enjoy foods that have Points while also taking advantage of the many Zero Point foods available to you.
The goal isn’t to make every single thing you eat Zero Point.
The goal is to find foods that help you feel satisfied while staying within your Points Budget.
Snacks Don’t Have to Derail Your Weight-Loss Journey
I have learned over the years that the best snack isn’t necessarily the fanciest recipe.
Sometimes it’s a bowl of watermelon.
Sometimes it’s popcorn.
Sometimes it’s a hard-boiled egg.
And sometimes you really do want a piece of chocolate!
That’s okay, too.
Having Zero Point options available simply gives you another tool to use when you’re hungry.
So the next time you’re standing in the kitchen thinking, “I need a snack!”, come back to this list.
Hopefully you’ll find something delicious.
And if you have a favorite Zero Point snack that I missed, let me know in the comments!
Sharing is caring, and I think we can all use a few more healthy snack ideas.
Happy snacking!
WW Points can change when recipes, brands, ingredients, serving sizes, or the WW program change. Always check the exact ingredients and serving size in the WW app when tracking a recipe.
